Proverbs 29:18 where there is no vision, the people perish.
Any Ministry or individual should have vision to move forward on what the Lord has assigned for them. Without this vision, we run like a man running aimlessly and fight like a man beating the air (1 Cor 9:26). We need to be clear on what our vision is and what the Lord wanted us to do and set our eyes on the same and move forward looking unto Jesus. The moment we take our eyes from what the Lord has given us, we fail and stumble.
When Peter wanted to walk on Water, he was doing so as long as he set his eyes on Jesus, “But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and beginning to sink” (Mat 14:30).
On the contrary, Paul had many obstacles in his ministry and he fore knew the sufferings that he will be going through, yet he didn’t loose his vision to proclaim the Gospel and so finally he was able to say “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”. (2 Tim 4:7).
Our Vision is to proclaim Jesus and His love, to bring the perishing people into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to encourage and build His children who are in His kingdom. We too need to fix our eyes on Jesus and run towards the goal (vision) that He has set before us and not looking at other disturbing things surrounding us, so that we too can say that we have fought the good fight and finished the race?
