Speaker’s Profile: By His Amazing Grace, the Lord God has chosen and challed Bro. A. Othniel to serve Him by faith for nearly 40yrs in India and many other countries. Called to reach the unreached while working as a Scientific Officer in 1985 near Mumbai, he has been involved in Cross-cultural Missions and Evangelism, Church-planting, Bibleteaching and Training leaders all over India, and overseas. His emphasis in the ministry has been on multiplying quality Disciple-makers (Matthew 28:18-20; Colossians 1:28-29; 2 Timothy 2:2). Born and brought in a Hindu-convert family from a believers Assembly, accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and Lord in 1976, at the age of 17 yrs while in first year college. Studied Bachelor and Master of Science (MS) and received training in Theology, Missions, Leadership, Communications and Church-planting, etc., from various International Institutions. The Lord opened doors to travel and minister all over India and other countries preaching in churches and training pastors/leaders in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, USA, Canada, UK, Israel, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa, and in European countries that include Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Hungary. And also taught in Bible Colleges/Seminaries. To God be the glory! Amen. The Lord inspired him to write about 40 books and numerous articles on various doctrinal, leadership and practical issues. Many Churches, Pastors/leaders and Bible colleges are using his practical course manual, “The Challenge of Making Disciples,” first written in 2002 and updated several times. This book is being used in churches and Bible colleges in several countries. This and other books have been translated into HINDI, MARATHI and Oriya languages. The Lord enabled to organize and sponsor All India Conferences and State Conferences on Disciple-making for Pastors and Directors of organizations, and others for more than 25 yrs in major cities all over INDIA. A small church among the north Indian believers from Non-Christian families has been planted in Thane and is growing since 1995. The ministry is based in Mumbai since 1985 and has been officially registered with the govt in 1996 as the “Calvary Centre Charitable Trust.” A nondenominational, evangelical and indigenous faith ministry. The Maharashtra State Govt also issued the License as a Marriage Registrar to conduct Christian marriages in the Church. The life and ministry of Bro. A. Othniel is totally by faith alone. No appeals for funds or fund raising activities are done all these years. God has been leading His chosen people to uphold the ministry in prayers and support by their free-will gifts to meet the day to day needs of life and ministry (Philippians 4;19). Amen. His passion has been to multiply disciple-makers and so has been motivating pastors and leaders of churches to host training programs on Disciple-making (and other leadership topics) for their churches and leaders (Matthew 28:18-20).
